I draw with wax mediums on paper. I cut my mounting and matting, sometimes collaging or wrapping it in materials like kozo paper or bark. My frames are found secondhand.  I am inspired by microscopic life, cosmic shapes, pinned butterflies, and a creative story I am writing involving a blooming, multiplying alien population that hides in the natural world.

Sullivan Meservey grew up in the Lost Pines of southeast Austin. He earned a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021 and has since developed a professional studio background in traditional fine art printmaking, including screenprinting, lithography, and mokuhanga.
